The Text to Speech Software Solution
Overview
TexTalk reads and speaks text files and other documents stored on your PC. It also speaks text as you type it, sentence-by-sentence, word-by-word or character-by-character (including punctuation).

Configurations:
TexTalk for MS-DOS consists of two programs that can be used to read text files, as well as text you type on the keyboard. TexTalk will display the following menu of speaking mode options:
- Read an entire TEXT file.
- Step through a TEXT file.
- Type and speak each sentence.
- Type and speak each word.
- Type and speak each character.
TexTalk for MS-DOS System Requirements:
To make TexTalk work for you, your computer should meet the following minimum system requirements:
- IBM-compatible PC with an 80386 or better CPU;
- 640 KB RAM;
- MS-DOS version 5.0 or later;
- Hard disk with 1 MB of free space;
- 1.44 MB, 3.5" floppy disk drive; and,
- compatible speech synthesizer, such as SounText TM
TexTalk for Windows reads text, Microsoft Word and other types of documents, as well as typed text. Requires Windows 95/ 98/NT, 16 MB of RAM, Pentium 90 (or better) processor, CD-ROM drive, 300 MB of free hard disk space and a compatible software-based speech synthesizer, such as AcuVoice.
